Keke is originally from Richmond, Kentucky which is just South of Lexington. Her love for journalism began at Western Kentucky University. While there, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast News with a Government minor. She graduated in August of 2003 with a 4.0 GPA.
Western Kentucky University is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. There Keke interned at WKYU-FM and at WZTV, the Fox affiliate in Nashville. Her duties included writing and producing voice-overs and conducting interviews. Keke also worked as an anchor and reporter at WKU's Newschannel 12 and WWHR-FM.
After graduating from Western, Keke was offered a position with the US Department of Labor in Washington, DC. She served with the Department of Labor as a Public Affairs Specialist from June of 2003 to May of 2004. Her duties included writing press releases and media reports.
Currently, Keke is the 6pm and 11pm anchor for WOAY in Oak Hill West Virginia. Keke started at WOAY in 2004 as a
weekend
anchor/reporter. After 8 months, she was promoted to main anchor. Along with anchoring, she also produces both evening newscasts and is a one-man-band reporter.
